Starting your cameraAllow camera and microphone when your browser asks.
Read your lines. Keep your eyes on the lens.
A teleprompter and a camera recorder in one browser tab. Paste a script or let ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini write it, press record, and download the video. No app, no account, no watermark.
Write
Tap the text to type or paste your script, or tap Write with AI.
Allow
Let the page use your camera and microphone. The video stays on this device.
Record
After the countdown the words move up. Read the line between the red marks.
Download
Watch the take, then save it as MP4. On a phone, save it to Photos.
Nothing you record leaves this tab.
- No server, no accountThe camera feed goes into your browser's own recorder. The file is saved straight to your Downloads, Files or Photos.
- Your script stays hereIt is kept in this browser's storage so it's still here next time. To remove it, clear the text on the prompter.
- AI only when you askIf you use Write with AI, your topic goes to the AI you pick. An API key you add is sent only to that provider. The Claude connector turns a script into a link and keeps nothing.
Claude connector
Ask Claude to put it on the prompter.
Add this teleprompter to Claude once. After that, when Claude writes you a script, it can hand you a link that opens here with the script loaded and the camera on. The connector only builds that link and needs no account. To keep the link short, it keeps an encrypted copy of the script for 30 days that only the link can unlock.
https://teleprompt.net/api/mcp- In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector.
- Paste the URL above and save. No sign-in is needed.
- Ask Claude for a script, then say "open it in the teleprompter". Tap the link it gives you and press record.
Questions
Is this teleprompter really free?
Yes. There is no account, no trial and no watermark on your video.
Is my video or script uploaded anywhere?
No. The camera, the recording and your script stay in your browser, and the video is saved straight to your device. The only time anything leaves the page is when you ask an AI to write your script: then your topic goes to the AI you picked.
Can AI write my teleprompter script?
Yes. Type what the video is about and pick ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity or Grok. The AI opens with the prompt ready, and you paste the script back. If you have an API key from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, OpenRouter, Groq, DeepSeek or Mistral, the script can be written right here instead.
Can Claude or ChatGPT send a script straight to the teleprompter?
Yes, three ways. Copy the script and tap Paste above the text. Or click the teleprompter link the AI adds under the script. Or, in Claude, add the teleprompter connector (Settings, Connectors, Add custom connector, URL https://teleprompt.net/api/mcp); then ask Claude to "open it in the teleprompter" and it gives you a link that opens with your script loaded.
Does it save MP4 or WEBM?
Chrome, Edge and Safari save MP4. Firefox can only save WEBM, which plays in Chrome and VLC; convert it to MP4 if your editor or iPhone will not open it. The settings panel tells you which format your browser saves.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. Open the page in Safari on iPhone or Chrome on Android, hold the phone upright and allow the camera. The script sits at the top of the screen, right under the front camera, so your eyes stay near the lens.
How do I edit the script?
Tap the text on the prompter and type, like any text box. It saves as you go. While it scrolls, tapping the text pauses it first.
How do I pause or go back?
Press Space or tap the text to pause and resume. Scroll the text with the mouse wheel or your finger, or use the up and down arrow keys. Left and right arrows change the speed.
What does mirror mode do?
Mirror camera flips the preview so it moves like a mirror. Mirror text flips the script for teleprompter glass that reflects a screen. Neither setting flips the recorded video.
Can I set a time limit?
Yes. By default there is no limit and the recording runs until you stop it. In Settings, choose 30 seconds, 1 minute or 3 minutes and the recording stops by itself, which helps with application videos and short social clips.
